Assessments · Site checks · Action plans
Know what needs attention before it becomes a bigger problem.
We agree the scope, inspect the premises and relevant records, then give you clear findings and actions. Where appropriate, we can prepare a separately scoped assessment document and return to check progress.

What we review
Several duties. One clear view.
Focused assessments or a broader on-site review, shaped by your premises and the people who use them.
Food safety and allergens
Review food hygiene practice, HACCP-based procedures or Safer Food Better Business records, temperature and cleaning controls, traceability and how allergen information is managed. We can help prepare a practical action plan after an inspection; only the local authority awards an official hygiene rating.
02 / 04Fire safety
Review fire precautions, escape arrangements, records and changes at the premises. Fire risk assessment work is scoped to the type and complexity of the building; work outside our competence is referred to an appropriate specialist.
03 / 04Health and safety
Assess everyday risks such as slips, manual handling, equipment, burns and cuts. Review the controls, training and records that support safe work, including COSHH where relevant.
04 / 04Wider compliance check
A wider visit can check data handling, privacy notices and CCTV, and help you work through the ICO's official fee self-assessment. We can also review contractor, water, waste, staffing and premises records. We record evidence and actions; this is not ICO approval or legal advice. Technical testing, licensed work and regulated advice need their own qualified provider.
How it works
A useful report starts with seeing the work.
We make the scope clear at the start and separate what we observed from records we were shown and matters needing specialist follow-up.
1. Tell us what is happening
We ask about the business, premises, recent changes and the question behind your enquiry. We agree access, records and deliverables before the visit.
2. Review the site and records
We walk the agreed areas, speak to the right people and compare documented controls with everyday practice. Urgent concerns are raised during the visit.
3. Act on the findings
You receive an evidence-linked action list with priorities, owners and dates. A separately agreed assessment document records the relevant findings and limits. We can revisit to check the actual evidence of completed actions.
What happens on a visit?
We review the agreed areas, compare records with what happens on site, and give you an action list with priorities and owners.
